Enoshima

Enoshima is a small island located just off the coast of Kanagawa Prefecture, about an hour from central Tokyo. It’s famous for its scenic views of Mount Fuji and beautiful shrines. The island is a popular daytrip destination for both locals and tourists

The island is full of shrines and temples, with beautiful walking streets.

Street

You can write down wishes on small cards and hang them up, hoping they will come true. There’s also sacred water where visitors wash their hands and mouth to bring good luck. I thought people were drinking the water, but it turns out they only rinse their mouth so yeah, my stomach was not too happy that night haha.

There are many small shops and cafés as well, and we enjoyed a nice lunch and beer with a great view. As the afternoon went on, we had to hurry because the sunset was approaching and man, it was worth it. I think it’s one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life.
