Izakaya and reunion

Today was a big day. It was time to reunite with my friend Sota Konishii! Due to his work, he has limited time. Working culture in Japan is so crazy, basicly working from 6 in the morning to late at night.

I travelled to the city he stays in «Yokohoma City» by train. Very convenient as I could just stay on the same train to the final destination which lasted a bit over an hour.

Of course I had a gift for him, his favourite «Smash» chocolate from Norway! I was afraid it was going to melt with about 40 degrees, but stayed intact in my luggage thankfully!

When we met, we went to a local Izakaya. This is a type of place salarymen go out to drink and eat with their colleagues after work! I loved the place!

When arriving we were greeted and given an iPad where we could order from. They had a huge selection of food and drinks to choose from. From sushi, chicken, beef .. u name it.

They also had a japanese specialty: Raw horse… of course after three beers I agreeed to try…😂 It didnt really taste that much, but it was something about eating a horse that I didn’t like, soo might be a once in a lifetime experience.

We had many beers, talking shit about life, catching up and remembering back to the good time we spend together in Norway.

Really great experience and a really fun night!!

I followed him back to the station, and we said a long goodbye… See you soon again!
